Joanna Bach Głowińska
uzyskała stopień doktora architektury i urbanistyki w 2012 r. Została laureatką ogólnopolskiego konkursu na najlepszą rozprawę doktorską na temat samorządu lokalnego i zagadnień decentralizacji w 2013 r. Jako Postdoctoral Research Fellow kontynuowała badania w Mackintosh School of Architecture w Glasgow School of Art, od 2013 do 2015 r. Jako adiunkt pracuje na Politechnice Gdańskiej od 2014 r. Pracowała jako planista w Biurze Rozwoju Gdańska (BRG) w latach 2000–2017. kwalifikacje ministerialne w zawodzie urbanistyki w 2002 r. Koordynowała badania porównawcze między Gdańskiem a Dublinem (2010), a następnie Gdańska i Glasgow (2015). Celem było umiejscowienie Gdańska wśród innych miast i określenie kontekstu polskiej polityki miejskiej dla wybranych projektów, jeśli okaże się, że warto je wdrożyć w Polsce. Wyniki zostały opisane w książce (Bach-Głowińska J. i in., W poszukiwaniu modelu inteligentnego miasta w Gdańsku i Glasgow, Wolters Kluwer, Warszawa 2015). Badania badawcze i porównawcze doprowadziły do powstania Laboratorium inicjatyw Miejskich w 2015 r., początkowo na BRG. Formalne laboratorium inicjatyw miejskich powstało na podstawie umowy konsorcjum między miastem Gdańsk a Politechniką Gdańską do realizacji projektu CRUNCH w czerwcu 2018 r. |
Joanna Bach Glowinska
received her PhD in Architecture and Urban Planning in 2012. Her work was the winner of the nationwide competition for the best doctoral dissertation on local government and decentralization issues in 2013. She was employed as a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Mackintosh School of Architecture at the Glasgow School of Art, where she continued her research from 2013 until 2015. As an Assistant Professor she has been working at the Gdańsk University of Technology since 2014. She obtained ministerial qualifications in the profession of an urban planner in 2002. She worked as town planner at the Gdańsk Development Agency from 2000 until 2017. She coordinated comparative research between Gdańsk and Dublin (2010) and then Glasgow (2015). The aim was to position Gdańsk among other cities and to define the context of Polish urban policy for selected projects if it turned out that it is worth implementing them in Poland. The results were described in the book (Bach-Głowińska J. et al., W poszukiwaniu modelu inteligentnego miasta w Gdańsku i Glasgow, Wolters Kluwer, Warszawa 2015) The undertaken research and comparative research led to the creation of the Urban Initiatives Laboratory in 2015, initially at GDA. The formal Urban Initiative Laboratory was established under the consortium agreement between the city of Gdansk and Gdansk University of Technology because of CRUNCH project in June 2018 |
